Village Kids Celebrate Arbor Day

On April 28, 2023 the kids in the Village of Lexington had the opportunity to celebrate Arbor Day. Thank you to Moore Public Library and the Village of Lexington Environmental Committee for combining efforts and putting on a program for area kids and adults. The kids were able to partake in story hour with Ms. Betty Pasut and activities that were structured around Arbor Day. Each child left with a goodie bag and a seedling to plant. Arbor day was not just for the kids, Re-Leaf Michigan presented a program on questions homeowners have about the trees in their yards. The day ended with a trip to Meyer Elementary to talk to the fourth grade students and planting a gum tree at Lester Park.  Thank you to all that took part in making this a great celebration: Moore Public Library, the environmental committee, DPW, and all others that helped out.
