New Drug Drop Off

Exciting news, the Village of Lexington is taking part in a program that will allow residents to drop off expired and unused prescription drugs, vitamins, and other type pills.  Please note that there are certain items that cannot be dropped off.  Liquids (including inhalers) and needles are not allowed to be dropped off and we ask that if you are depositing something in the drop box to check with the office for additional instructions.  Pills that are in containers that are sealed individually should be removed from the packaging.  This is a great opportunity for unused pills to be disposed of properly.  Pills that are flushed down the toilet or are just plain thrown out have a high potential to end up in our ground water and eventually our lakes and streams.  Please take a minute to stop in and drop off your expired or unused pills and utilize this service to have a positive influence on our environment.
